I sing in a single voice

An important recognition for the poetic research of Marta Toraldo, her collection of verses “Canto a voce sola” – published by Spagine edizioni Fondo Verri, with the cover by Valentina D’Andrea – is among the books of “published poetry” chosen, in the shortlist of finalists, of the XXXVII edition of Florence Prize for Literature and Visual Arts.

Thus writes the Prize Jury: «The author shows off a very profound but still clear poetics: she does not want – and luckily! – hide itself and, instead, give itself to the reader in all its complexity. We are dealing with a young work in terms of freshness, but mature in its facets, which addresses an impressive range of emotions and different themes, ranging with ease between eros and agàpe, between metaphysics and reality, between serious and shrill registers. All with fluid pleasure ».
